I’m thrilled to be one of the first in the world to try, and purchase, cultured chicken meat created by @goodmeatinc and launched at @1880singapore. And yes, it tastes like chicken, because it is chicken meat.
But Goodmeat cultured chicken is made by taking a single stem cell from a chicken feather and no chicken was killed in the process and only creating a fraction of the carbon footprint of normal chicken.

Consumption of livestock animals is an environmental threat as industrialised agriculture produces potent greenhouse gasses, while logging to create pastures destroys natural barriers against climate change. Ideally we would all reduce our meat consumption. But despite all the awareness campaigns, meat consumption is increasingly globally.
